Requesting the creation of a computer account

To request the creation of a computer account, you must contact the administrative services of your laboratory, which will send us a request.

Notice of closure of the computer account at the end of the contract

If you are on a fixed-term contract, a PhD student, a trainee or a temporary employee, your computer account will be deleted at the end of your contract. Warning messages will be sent to you in the weeks leading up to the closure of your account to inform you of the forthcoming closure.

You will then have to take the necessary steps to keep and save the data you need after your departure, otherwise the data in your account will be destroyed some time later.

Please contact your Thesis Director or the Laboratory HR and the OSU Pythéas IT service (SIP) if you need an account extension or if you need to save data on a removable media.

Procedures for closing a computer account

1- When a computer account is created, the end date of the contract is indicated by the laboratory HR

2- The user is regularly informed by email: 1 month, then 14 days and 7 days before the expiry date of his account

3- At the user’s request (validated by the Thesis Director or the Unit Director) we extend the account duration. We modify the end date to indicate the new end date of the contract.

4- At the end of a contract, we return to case 3 or 4 and so on.

5- If the email is managed by the SIP, at the end of the contract, after deletion of the account, we redirect your emails to the address of your choice for a minimum of 2 years.

Regularly (three or six months) the laboratory’s HR department must provide us with an “Excel” file of staff movements to check that our data is up to date in the Pythéas directory.
