Personal calendars and diaries

Introduction

The Pythéas IT Service offers an “Agendas” server which allows you to post and plan different events, actions and manage your appointments… To access it, you must have an account in the Pythéas staff directory.

This server allows you to create different types of calendars:

  • “public” (accessible by others chosen to share the information)
  • “private” (accessible only by its owner).

The application allows you to manage access rights to the different calendars. If you want to share your calendar with other people, it is necessary to know who has the right to write information, and who has the right to read it.

There are two ways to access and view your calendars:

  • Online consultation of your calendars (via a dedicated web page) via a web application. You can share your calendars with other Pythéas users, as well as consult those that have been shared with you.
  • Online/offline consultation using software that supports calendar management. The calendar server supports many calendar “client” software. SIP recommends using the tools listed below:

Advanced management

To administer your calendars (read or write access rights) you must use webcalendar. Note that some software clients such as MacOS Calendar also allow you to modify access to your calendars.

To create and modify group calendars, you need to give us the list (IDs or Pythéas emails) of group members, the short name of the group, and the access rights for each member (Read or Read/Write). Send us all this information via a support ticket.
