Access to wireless networks

The different wifi networks (SSID) present on the OSU sites:

  • EDUROAM : Automatic connection with your AMU or DT-INSU account, also usable by visitors with Eduroam access in their institution.
  • (Aix*Marseille universite: Captive portal, connection with a personal, student, visitor or conference AMU account.
  • OSU_Pytheas : Automatic connection after declaration of your professional machine only. Also opens access to the intranet.
  • Toulon WiFi : on the OSU Pytheas Toulon site only

Your AMU account

  • New staff (contract workers, permanent, CNRS staff) on Aix-Marseille University
  • You must activate your account on sesame using your temporary AMU password delivered by HR department.

Go to sesame.

  • Lost password

If your private e-mail was provided, got to sesame. Else please contact OSU Helpdesk.

Guest accounts (Aix*Marseille universite

To obtain guest accounts, please use helpdesk ticket with the number of accounts and duration at least 48h before guest arrival

Not necessary for AMU staff or external users with an eduroam account.

WIFI signal  (Aix*Marseille universite

(Aix*Marseille universite is an opened network. You can connect to this signal without any special configuration.

Once connected, open your browser. The first time you try to connect to a website, you will be redirected to a captive authentication portal.

You must use an AMU visitor/colleague/student account. To obtain an account(s) for your visitors, you must make the request on https://assistance.osupytheas.fr 48h before their arrival.

WIFI signal Eduroam

“Eduroam” is a secure wireless network service accessible to staff and students of higher education and research establishments.

Visitors coming from an Eduroam member institution can use the wireless network with the credentials they use at their institutions.

Aix-Marseille University and the INSU Technical Division are members of Eduroam. As such, the staff and students of these institutions all have access to the Internet from all other member institutions, using their usual login and password.

To use the Eduroam network with an AMU account, you must use your e-mail @univ-amu.fr as your login and your AMU password.

To use the Eduroam network at our school, you must configure your wireless network connection as follows:

WPA-Enterprise
802.1x EAP/PEAP or EAP/TTLS authentication
AES or TKIP encryption
Automatic configuration of IP settings (DHCP)
When travelling, follow the recommendations of your host institution. To authenticate on the eduroam network, you must use your email address @univ-amu.fr as your login (or your OSU login for DT staff). Your password remains unchanged.

WIFI signal OSU_Pythéas

The OSU_Pytheas wireless network is accessible only to computers previously declared to the Pythéas IT Services.

Even if your equipment is registered, you must enter this password at the first connection: PytheasAMU

Unlike Eduroam, this network allows:

  • Intranet access in the OSU Pytheas without VPN.
  • Fixed private IP addressing.
  • Less restrictions for specific internet access.

Personal equipment such as phones, tablets, or laptops cannot access this network.

Please configure these devices on Eduroam.
